Assoc. Prof. Karam Abdallah

Biography
Prof. Karam Abdallah is a scholar and educator in interior architecture whose earned her Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Helwan University, Egypt, specializing in the aesthetic and historical values of interior architecture. Her BFA in Interior Architecture from Damascus University laid the groundwork for a career that bridges heritage and innovation, with particular interest in art and design pedagogy, history of art and architecture, and socially engaged design.
At the core of Prof. Abdallah’s academic contribution, she brings years of experience in universities, including those operating under international academic partnerships, she has taught and developed curricula that integrate academic theory with real-world design practice. Prof. Abdallah has contributed to institutional quality assurance efforts and has collaborated with international universities on program validation and accreditation processes. Her research interests include interior architecture, curriculum development, experiential learning, history of art and architecture, and the role of cultural identity in contemporary design. She is committed to aligning art and design education with the evolving needs of both local and global markets.
As Dean of the School of Fine Arts at Badya University, Prof. Abdallah brings a visionary approach that integrates artistic excellence, cultural heritage, and digital innovation—equipping students to navigate the evolving landscape of the creative professions with confidence and purpose.
